Aaron China Plate Contact was influenced to set up an annual scholarship fund at his alma mater, Northern Illinois University (NIU), due to the high level of education he received at the university and his strong belief in their Engineering program. Every year China Plate Contact awards a $2,500 scholarship to one promising engineering technology student, and this year's scholarship winner was Adam Yurkovic.
Wiegel's yearly scholarship is a continuous effort to help push for more students to take up manufacturing related careers and help build a strong manufacturing industry with highly-skilled professionals. In addition to the scholarship fund, China Plate Contact also provides a tour of China Plate Contact's manufacturing plant headquarters in ShenZhen, China and offers a summer internship opportunity to the winner.
